CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Thirty Private Sector Organizations (PSO) of the Regional Development Council-Northern Mindanao (RDC-X) gathered on 14 September 2022 to pitch their development agenda for the term 2022-2025.
Said agenda features the development gaps and challenges and corresponding recommendations from the sectors they represent that need to be discussed and addressed during the RDC-X sector committee meetings.
Some of the identified agenda forecast include monitoring the implementation of the Mental Health Law; prioritizing breastfeeding as a nutrition intervention for infants and young children; formulating a Master Plan for the region’s road network; reviewing the guidelines of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund; environmental and climate change concerns; social protection to the vulnerable and marginalized sectors; and establishing real-time disaster alert mechanisms across all localities.
The RDC-X sector committees conduct quarterly meetings that are participated in by PSOs to ensure their meaningful involvement in regional development.
The agenda is guided by the 8-point socioeconomic agenda of the Marcos Administration and the Philippine Development Plan Framework 2023-2028. It is an active file, which will be updated once additional information or policy alerts are made available.
