CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)-Regional Office X topped the first NEDA Innovation Challenge video contest organized by the NEDA Innovation Staff with its entry, the Regional Investment Programming System towards Allocative Efficiency or RISE.

RISE bested nine other entries from the NEDA Central and Regional Offices, which featured innovative solutions to make the NEDA’s operations easier, faster, and more effective.

This public investment programming web-based system features online enrollment and updating of priority programs and projects by concerned implementing national government agencies, government owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), state universities and colleges (SUCs) and other government instrumentalities. It can generate geotagged information, generate summary forms, and run in a reliable open-source software.

RISE is expected to save three to five days of coordinating, validating, and data processing activities for NEDA and all government agencies.

Kick-started in 2020, the system is the second phase of the existing online Regional Project Monitoring and Evaluation System also developed by NEDA-X, the Innovative Platform for Programs/Projects/Activities’ (PPAs) Location Assessment, Monitoring, and Budgeting for Development Planning and Governance System or IPA-LAMDAG.

The NEDA Innovation Challenge is part of the inaugural celebration of the National Innovation Day on 21 April 2022 with the theme, “Filipinnovation: Unlocked”.
