The National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office X (NEDA-X) reaped two awards from the Civil Service Commission (CSC-X) in recognition of NEDA-X’s efforts in promoting government employees’ excellence for an efficient and effective delivery of public service.

 

The two awards, both for Maturity Level 2 in Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP) and in Performance Management (PM) Systems were in line with CSC’s Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).

 

The PRIME-HRM Award System recognizes excellence in human resource management systems, practices and competencies of government agencies in the four core human resource management areas, namely: 1) Recruitment, Selection and Placement; 2) Performance Management; 3) Learning and Development; and 4) Rewards and Recognition. Agencies which meet certain sets of PRIME-HRM maturity indicators are recognized and awarded accordingly.

 

Of the more than a hundred CSC-accredited agencies in the region, only six government offices (DOLE, CHED, DAR, MSU-Naawan, Municipality of Alubijid in Misamis Oriental, and NEDA) were given recognition for their 2016 performance, with only NEDA-X garnering two awards. The 2016 awardees were the second set of agencies given recognition after the PRIME-HRM was piloted in 2015. (Marichu P. Pable/Peleta B. Abejo, NEDA-X)
